Abstract: The EPR spectra of Mn 2+ and Fe 3+ ions in ZnS∶Mn 2+ and ZnS∶Fe 3+ systems have been extensively studied. However, the theoretical results show that the calculation values of the zero-field splitting are always much less than those of the experimental findings.
