Abstract: The radiative opacity has been investigated by using detailed term accounting approximation for dense, cold aluminum plasmas under local thermodynamic equilibrium. The configuration interaction scheme has been used to obtain the relevant atomic parameters for bound-bound absorption, such as excitation energies and oscillator strengths.
