电子动量谱学就其基本概念、基本实验和理论方法而言,均起源于核物理。近年来,它在原子和分子物理中已经形成一个新的前沿课题,而且也开始向邻近学科(例如化学、表面物理等)渗透。总之,它正在兴起。本文简要介绍电子动量谱学的基本概念、基本实验和理论方法,现有的主要进展以及一些应用前景。
