Abstract:
By using cold target recoil ion momentum spectroscopy, we performed the single electron capture experiment between N
6+ ion and Ne atom with energies of 6 and 8.6 keV/u. The n--resolved state-selective capture cross-sections and the scattering angular distributions were measured. The experimental results show the strong population of both
n=3 and 4 states on the projectile, which is in good agreement with the results predicted by the reaction window calculated by the molecular coulomb over barrier model. However, the scattering angle distributions corresponding to capture to
n=4 and 5 states, inconsistent with the interpretation of the classical model, the reason is mainly originated from the multi-channel coupling effect of the collision reaction process.
