Calibration Technique of Neutron Sensitivity for γray Detector

Abstract: It is introduced that a method and principle for calibrating 14.1 MeV neutron sensitivity of γray detector. A shield system for scattering neutrons and γrays has been optimized by MCNP code. The experimental results show that the signaltonoise ratio of the system is about 10:1, 7 times higher than the value of 1.35〖KG-*4〗∶〖KG-*4〗1 without shield system. Calibration of neutron sensitivity of γray detector is then accomplished.
