  • The yesterday and today of synchrotron radiation,and the necessity for building a new generation synchrotron radiation light source in China are briefly introduced. The SSRF (Shanghai Synchrotron Rodiation Facility) being designed would be one of the first classic synchrotron radiation light sources in the world when it is commissioned to use at beginning of next century.

Abstract: The yesterday and today of synchrotron radiation,and the necessity for building a new generation synchrotron radiation light source in China are briefly introduced.
